Stampin' Up Petite Pocket Die Bath Salts Pouch

Here's a cute Bath Salts Pouch a designer at Stampin' Up created. It uses some great NEW Sale-a-bration products!  I've included the step-by-step tutorial for it. Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps:
Loving Thoughts Stamp Set and Madison Avenue Stamp Set
Paper:
Island Indigo, Shimmery White, and Summer Starfruit Cardstock
Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper
Ink:
Island Indigo and Rick Razzleberry Classic Stampin' Pads
Accessories and Tools:
Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder, Summer Starfruit 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, Linen Thread, In Color Dahlias, Stampin' Dimensionals, Extra-Large Oval Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Big Shot, Petite Pocket Bigz XL Die, Vine Street Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Simply Scored, & Bath salts

Instructions:
  1. Using the Big Shot and the Petite Pocket Bigz Die, cut two pockets from the Island Indigo Cardstock. Cut off the bottom flaps.  NOTE: I'm not sure about cutting the bottom flaps of both pieces; I think you'll need to fiddle with this part.  I'll call SU later to see if I can find out exactly what was done.
  2. Using the Big Shot and the Vine Street Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, emboss the Island Indigo Cardstock. Punch an oval shape in the Island Indigo Cardstock using the Extra-Large Oval Punch. Assemble the pocket.
  3. Punch a scallop circle in the pocket "handles" using the scallop circle shape in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. Insert the bath salts package.
  4. Thread the Summer Starfruit 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon through the hole and tie to secure the handles.
  5. Punch two scallop circles from the Summer Starfruit Cardstock using the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch. Set them aside.
  6. Score Designer Series Paper strip every 1/4" using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Adhere the ends of the cardstock together.
  7. Holding the cardstock with two hands, twist one edge of the strip into the center to create a flower shape.
  8. Adhere a Summer Starfruit scallop circle to one side of the accordion flower using a Glue Dot.
  9. Stamp the sentiment in Island Indigo Ink on Shimmery White Cardstock. Cover the image with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set. Cut the stamped cardstock into a banner shape, fold it in half, and adhere it to the back of the Summer Starfruit scallop circle. Adhere the Summer Starfruit scallop circle to the accordion flower.
  10. Punch a circle from Island Indigo Cardstock using the 1-3/8" Circle Punch. Set aside.
  11. Stamp the wreath image in Rich Razzleberry ink on Shimmery White Cardstock. Cover the image with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set. Punch out the wreath image using the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Adhere the wreath to the Island Indigo circle.
  12. Stamp the four-petal flowers image in Island Indigo ink on Shimmery White Cardstock. Cover the image with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set. Cut out one flower using Paper Snips and adhere it to the center of the wreath image.
  13. Adhere the In Color Dahlia to the four-petal flowers image. Adhere the Island Indigo circle accent to the Summer Starfruit scallop circle using a Stampin' Dimensional.
  14. Punch a hole on the edge of the accordion flower using the 1/16" Circle Punch, thread Linen Thread through the hole, and tie it to the Summer Starfruit 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon.

Stampin' Up Borders Scoring Plate and Art Glass Articles

I'm sorry I haven't had time to make cards lately, but the job I started about one month ago has just kept me so busy.  The company is going through a restructuring and I'll actually be losing my job in  a couple of weeks.  I was lucky and found a temp job through April, so I'll just keep looking for a permanent job.  Honestly, I'm still so numb from my husband passing away, I'm just going with the flow and praying the right job will come around for me.  So, cheers to all of us getting through hard times!

Here are a couple of pages from our Demonstrator magazine called Stampin' Success that we can share with customers.  The first page gives some examples using the new Borders Scoring Plate and the other shows you how to color glass vases.  Thanks for stopping by!

Reposted: Valentine's Day Treat Holder with Video Tutorial

I originally posted this project and video on 1/25/12, but I've had many people ask me about it, so I thought I'd post it again. The stamp set and Poppy Parade cardstock I used are retired, but everything else is available.

I made this quick and cute treat holder with a 6" circle cut from Poppy Parade cardstock.  To give the box some design, I ran it through the Big Shot using the Lots of Love Texture Plate (retired) with VersaMark ink.  But now we have the great Embossing Folders that would be even better.  The box measures 3" across, 1/2" wide, and 3 1/2" tall.

You can watch the video below to see how I made it.  Email subscribers will need to click over to my blog to view the video; just click on the email post title and it will get you directly to my blog post!

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: PS, I Love You
Cardstock: Poppy Parade (video also uses Melon Mambo) and Whisper White
Ink: Poppy Parade and VersaMark
Accessories: Circle Scissors, Big Shot machine, Lots of Love Texture Plate, Scalloped Heart Embosslit, Fashionable Hearts Embosslit, 2-way glue, Dazzling Diamonds, Mini Brads, Dimensionals, Sticky strip, Mini glue dots, SNAIL, Large Heart Punch, Word Window Punch, and Scallop Ribbon Border punch.

Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!

Offer Details:
  • All Best of stamp sets will include 3-5 images, including a never-before seen image, and will be priced at $14.95.

Also, Ten Never-Before-Seen SINGLE STAMP Images!

Stampin' Up has had a great response so far to its experiment with single stamps, so they are making ten more never-before-seen images available as single stamps available through March 31, 2013.

Details:
  • These stamps are available on any order type-customer, workshop, or online.
  • You can find the stamp item numbers on the flyers.

Stampin' Up Video Tutorial - Creped Filter Paper Flower

Directly from the Stampin' Up Blog:

There have been questions on how to make the Creped Filter Paper flower that I made for a sample in the 2013 spring catalog. So, I decided to make a quick video.

One thing to be aware of is that in the spring catalog I used the second largest Floral Frames Framelits instead of the largest one that I used in the video.

Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! products used:
Creped Filter Paper
Tea Lace Paper Doilies
Big Shot
Floral Frames Framelits Dies
Silicone Craft Sheet

Other supplies:
Glue Gun
Stapler/Staples

Submit a Project to Stampin' Up and win a Shopping Spree! Plus Fancy Friends Kit Video.

In November of last year, Stampin' Up introduced an exciting new program where you can submit samples that could become the next kit Stampin’ Up offers.   Above is a picture of the Fancy Friends Kit that won and is now available to purchase.  Stampin' Up is now looking for project samples for a Birthday Kit.  Between now and January 30, Stampin' Up will be taking kit sample submissions via e-mail.  Send yours to: kitideas@stampinup.com.

Then, from February 4–10, Stampin' Up will post several samples on its Facebook page for your vote. So vote for your favorite because the winning sample will be offered as an exclusive kit for purchase—just like they did with the Fancy Friends kit. Oh, and did I mention there are prizes for the winner and runners-up? "Submit a Project" is open to anyone and everyone! This is a great way to get the entire stamping community together. Spread the word about submitting and voting on upcoming kits. Start creating.

Project Kit Details:
- This program is available to both customers and demonstrators.
- While your projects should not include retired products, they may include products not created by Stampin' Up!, such as jars or frames.
- Projects must fit into the specified category: Birthday.
- Projects can be cards, scrapbook pages, home décor, holiday décor, birthday decorations, etc. If you can make it with Stampin' Up! product, you can submit it!
- Submit your projects by e-mail. Send an image (less than 2 MB), supply list, and instructions for creating the project to kitideas@stampinup.com. In the subject line, include the name of your project.
- Please keep in mind that all submissions become the property of Stampin' Up! once received. We reserve the right to change project elements, the name, or any feature to make the kit easy to reproduce.
- What's in it for you? Glad you asked! Those who submit the winning kit will: ~ See it - your photo, name, and project will be posted online. ~ Flaunt it - you'll receive a "blog badge" for your personal blog or website. ~ Spend it - you wouldn't be a winner without a $100 Stampin' Up! shopping spree.
- That's not all! Those whose submissions are in the top 20 will also receive product used in the winning kit or a $25 shopping spree of their own.

Here's a Stampin' Up Video showing how to put together the current Fancy Friends Kit to give you an idea of what kind of projects Stampin' Up is looking for.   Email subscribers will need to go to my blog to watch the video.  Feel free to contact me if you have any question.  Good Luck!

Stampin' Up Friendship Preserves and Cannery Framelits still available - don't forget about the 2012 Holiday Mini Catalog Carryover List!

I made this card using the Friendship Preserves stamp set and the Cannery Framelits which are both still available and included on page 36 of the 2013 Spring Mini Catalog.  Now the current mini includes a list of all the 2012 Holiday Mini Catalog Carryover items, yippee! I love this set and the framelits are great!

I got inspiration for this card and tags from fellow Demonstrator Dawn Olchefske, thanks Dawn!   Colors for the card are Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, and Lucky Limeade.   I included pictures of how the card looks open and how the little "thank you" tags look from the side.   I cut one tag to open from the side and one to open from the top.  They are so cute!

I included embossed hearts on the card using one of the Adorning Accents Embossing Folders then tied Rich Razzleberry stitched grograin ribbon around it for some extra color.   I also used the new 1-1/4" Scallop Circle punch (on the carryover list below), the Small Oval Punch, and the Bitty Banners Framelits.   Of course little flowers were added using the Itty Bitty Punch pack and then Rhinestones added for BLING!

Here's a look at page 36 of the 2013 Spring Mini Catalog showing all the carryover items:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!  You can purchase any of these items by clicking HERE and creating, or signing into, your ONLINE Account.  Don't forget that to get my Frequent Rewards Points and "Preferred Pricing", you'll need to include me as your Demonstrator when you sign in!
