Stamping on Fabric Video Tutorial

Hi everyone! I really enjoyed watching this Stampin' Up video showing how to stamp on fabric. For some reason, I like to stamp on fabric in the fall and have gifts ready for Christmas and Thanksgiving!   So, I hope you enjoy it too; Holly Linford does a great job!

Paper Pumpkin Special Offer and the June and July 2013 Paper Pumpkin Kit Videos

Below are 2 Stampin' Up videos showcasing Stampin' Up's Monthly Paper Pumpkin Kit. The first video shows you how to assemble the July 2013 Paper Pumpkin Kit; I'm going to laminate my banners so I can reuse them and not get icing on them!   The second video shows you how to assemble the June 2013 Kit.

I haven't talked much about Stampin' Up's monthly Paper Pumpkin Kit because most of my customers are experienced stampers and these Kits were designed for beginner stampers or stampers who don't have time to stamp.  But I have to tell you that Stampin' Up has really done an awesome job coming up with these quick project kits!  These Kits are perfect for the nieces and nephews or grandchildren that you want to craft with, but don't have a long attention span!  And they're perfect for stamping with your friend who is always too busy to stamp, but needs a creative break!

After being at Convention last week, I started thinking about how precious time is and how important it is for us to connect with family and friends.  I have a new appreciation for this monthly Kit and I realize that it can help us connect with special people in our lives.  You can get together and assemble the cards or projects in these Kits in about an hour and have some quality hands-on time with someone.  Who isn't proud after they've made something by hand; it helps us grow and heal in so many different ways!

So, just think about signing up and if you do, I would really APPRECIATE it if you chose me (Maria Matonti) as your Demonstrator!  You can go to www.mypaperpumpkin.com to register and take advantage of the GREAT Promotion below; I know you'll love getting your monthly project box in the mail!  Once you register, the first month's Kit will be the "Welcome Kit"; it will include 4 cards and envelops, stamps and ink, and an Acrylic Block to use for that month and future months of Kits.  And the good thing is that you can cancel at any time; there is no commitment period.  Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

Final Stampin' Up Video for the Week and Stampin' Up Contest soon to end!

Here's the final video for the week. This video features Carrie Cudney showing you how to make the adorable lollipop cover on page 84 of the 2013-2014 Annual Catalog.   I think all my email subscribers know by now, but just in case, I wanted to remind you that you'll need to click over to my blog in order to view the video.   And hey, if you've enjoyed this week of videos, let me know; leave me a comment when you have a minute.

And don't forget about the Stamp Set Design Challenge-the first round is soon to end!

Stampin' Up has created a way for you to help us design and choose new stamp sets—In with You (beta program). The In with You program is currently open to anyone in the United States and Canada, including District of Columbia, APO/FPO, and Puerto Rico, but not Québec.

Once you join our In with You online community, you can submit your original artwork for stamp set challenges, vote and comment on other people’s submissions, earn badges, and interact with others in the community. We will produce and sell one or more stamp sets from among the top-voted submissions in each challenge. Plus there are fabulous prizes for top designs!

Here’s the scoop on the first challenge:
Contest dates: June 17–July 15, 2013
Submit ideas early so you have plenty of time to gather support for your work (you know—get your friends to vote for your design).

Contest theme: Monsters, Zombies, Creatures with Horns
They say, “Be careful what you ask for.” We say, “Whatevs!” We’re looking for the best monster images for cards, scrapbook pages, and other craft projects. Show us your best hair-raising, spine-chilling, terrifying creatures. Or maybe you’re more comfortable with monsters and creatures in the cute category. We like those too! So muster your courage and submit five to ten images of your original artwork.

Prizes*:
1st place: $200 US/$200 CAN
2nd place: $150 US/$150 CAN
3rd place: $100 US/$100 CAN

*Winners determined by number of votes.

Your images may be the next great stamp set!   For more information, submission guidelines, terms and conditions, and to participate, go to http://inwithyou.ideascale.com.

Stampin' Up "Gee, Thanks" card tutorial

Here's a Stampin' Up Technique Tutorial featuring the Really Good Greetings stamp set and Washi Tape.  You can't see it well, but they used Brushed Gold cardstock to make the card.  This card must be really striking when you see it "live"; photos usually don't capture how beautiful a card really is!

Don't forget, you can click on the image for an enlarged view and thanks for stopping by!

Happy 4th of July!! Here's a Rosette/Lolli to enjoy

This is a 4th of July Rosette or Lolli that my Hostess Club members made.  It's just a fun table accent!

Cardstock: Real Red, Pacific Point, and Whisper White.  Also, Red & Silver Glimmer Paper.
Big Shot dies used: Rosette Bigz XL die and the Paper Doily Sizzlet.
Stamp set: Simply Stars.
Other: various circle punches and retired star punches; Pacific Point Stitched Grosgrain ribbon, Sticky Strip, hot glue gun, and Stampin' Dimensionals.

PERSONAL NOTE:  I am always happy to celebrate this day because of what it means to me.  I feel fortunate to have been born and live in this wonderful country filled with people who have spirit and imagination.  All that we are able to do today is because brave people have fought for the freedom for us to be able to do so.  Soldiers fighting in battle, suffragettes fighting for woman's right to vote, and so much more.  I don't always agree with what everyone has to say, but I am thankful everyday that we have the freedom to be able to say it!   Have a wonderful day with your family!
